Jason Lewis is a Director of Transport Planning at Stantec, providing built environment partners with innovative sustainable travel and transport solutions to communities across the UK. Stantec are designers, engineers, scientists, and project managers, innovating together at the intersection of community, creativity, and client relationships. Balancing these priorities results in projects that advance the quality of life in communities across the globe.
Jason has been at the forefront of Stantec’s Vehicle to Community (V2C) concept, which looks to encompass V2G technology in new developments at scale. Over 250,000 new homes are built in the UK every year alongside many new large employment developments, and V2C gives the opportunity to build in bi-directional charging to deliver power, mobility and community benefits. But this is not just about car charging and battery storage; the benefits extend to improvements in parking layout and placemaking, mobility choice, the natural environment, surface water, urban heat island effects and reducing embedded carbon. Most importantly, it makes for much nicer places to live and work where communities can grow and thrive.
