Entrepreneur Melissa Briggs is the founder and CEO of Bee Solar Technology Limited. BST produces Finnish designed, made in England, multi award winning Heliomotion Solar Tracking systems which are retailed globally. Melissa has lengthy experience in sales, marketing and social media, and has been previously involved in leading edge electronic technologies for several decades. She moved into the renewable energy sector 5 years ago when she first spotted the potential of solar tracking - at that time little known in the UK. Melissa was recognised for her pioneering work with this technology when she won the PEA Award for Energy in 2020, pipping Elon Musk to the post.
