Rachel is responsible for our strategic partnerships and raising Regen’s profile as a key national voice in decarbonising our energy system. She has recently returned from a secondment in the strategy team in the COP26 Unit in the Cabinet Office. Rachel specialises in stakeholder engagement, leading on producing key forums and thought leadership events and papers that address the latest issues for the sector, helping Regen to be a strong, informed and independent force for change. She holds senior level relationships across government, leading companies in the sector, the ESO and DNOs, actively shaping the policy agenda around issues affecting the deployment of electricity storage, renewable generation and the role flexibility plays in the overall system. In her role as a director of Community Energy England Rachel has helped develop the organisation from startup to a powerful voice for the community energy sector. In 2014 Rachel founded a thriving national Women in Renewables network, ReWiRE, driving sector-wide change as well as supporting individual women to reach their full potential and received a British Empire Medal in 2017 for her services to the energy sector, in particular, her work supporting the development of women in the sector.
